Dina Zaman has previously spoken to MCG about her very successful book, “I am a Muslim”. Dina has recently published her second non-fiction title “Holy Men, Holy Women”. Meeting people of many faiths during a two- year journey around peninsula Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak, Dina was inspired to write their stories and also reflect on the issues confronting many multi-cultural societies.
Join us as Dina shares her encounters with nuns, shamans, pilgrims, ustaz and hijabis and the insights gained from her journey.
Dina is an award winning writer, columnist, editor and veteran in the media industry. Dina is also co-founder of IMAN an NGO, whose aim is to examine the connections between society, religion and perceptions. Her social involvements have also seen her appear on BBC and Al Jazeera programmes.
